Is It Essential to Have A Relationship with God?

If I were to answer the title question of this article, I would say, “Yes,” it is essential to have a relationship with God.

And you may ask, why?

Because God is the Creator of all things, even You!”

The World’s current events cause me to cringe in disbelief!

But, I refuse to accept the World’s teachings and follow the example of my Savior. Though I often miss the mark, I never forget to ask forgiveness each day for sins I am aware of or unaware of committing.

God’s Word tells us, “If we confess our sins, He will forgive and cleanse us of unrighteousness and remember our sins no more.”

I know nothing of your life. But I am

guessing you sometimes call upon the Lord when all else seems hopeless.

If you have not had the pleasure of meeting the Creator, I am sure you will meet Him before your next life if you live a life of prayer and worship before leaving this World. But if not, there’s no reason to look forward to meeting our Creator.

Speaking of leaving this life, though, you may have never considered anything other than where you are this very instant! If you are not contemplating the next life, then It does not matter if you have thought of leaving this World; at some point, we will all stand before our Creator.

If you have never taken the time to study Scripture, now is the time to stop and take notice of your surroundings. But, unfortunately, the times in which we now live are anything but peaceful or godly.

We are living in the days foretold by the Book of Daniel.

I Suppose you are unfamiliar with the Book of Daniel if you have never thought of dying or leaving this World.

In that case, You may want to check your Bible to learn more about this amazing Book on “End-Time Prophecy.”

However, before you spend time enjoying Daniel or the message God gave him on the future and Prophecy, let’s look at the essentials of the Church.

Why is the Church Essential to End-Time Prophecy?

Let’s begin with the role of the Church. But before I describe God’s Church, let’s discuss what the Church is and is not!

Many Christians believe the building in which they assemble on Sunday or whenever to worship is the Church. However, this could not be further from the truth.

The congregation or people within the building are the Church and is what Jesus promises to return and judge in the Book of Revelation.

The Times In Which We Now Live

Let me begin by saying our World is very much as God expected it would be upon His return! As you continue to read, you will come to understand what I am addressing.

We have strayed away from scriptural teachings on the role of the Church.

As a nation founded under God, We have strayed from the authentic faith or belief of what the Church should be in the 21st Century and should return to the genuine dedication and worship of the scriptures, which support us in bringing the Church back to the truth and away from assumed theology.

Let us begin with baptism, which forms our walk with the Savior. John the Baptist baptized Jesus with water before he started His ministry.

After Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection, Peter described baptism to the nation of Israel in the following Text of Acts 2:38; Peter spoke these words to the people,

“Therefore, let all of Israel be assured: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah. “According to Acts, the people were cut to their hearts and wanted to know how they could be saved.

Peter spoke these words to the people: “Therefore, repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, be forgiven of your sins. You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” Acts: 2:38.

Acts 8:16 then tells us that the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon the disciples, though the Apostles had been baptized in the name of Jesus.

This Text from Acts is not the last words by Peter on being baptized in the name of Jesus in Acts 10:44; He later speaks these words to another group,

“They have received the Holy Spirit as we have.” Acts 10:48. Peter then ordered that the people be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, though Acts 10:48 is not the last biblical Text that speaks of baptism, and Acts 19:5 tells of another incident of John for repentance, and they too were baptized in the name of Jesus.

I firmly believe baptism is essential before the return of Christ if one desires to become a part of the Church.

Why?

Because the return of Jesus is not political or one of hatred but love and salvation!

Baptism restores us to the pure gospel.

Yet,

God continually speaks to His Church through His disciples and the Holy Bible, but many refuse to listen!

Prophecy is often misinterpreted in the 21st Century!

And most of us never bother to read or ask God’s Help in understanding the message or signs left to us that are continually unfolding.

God has promised to reveal His Word to us in Joel 2:25,” I will restore you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.”

Scripture says, “God will restore everything Satan destroyed or has taken from His people by Rapturing the Church from Tribulation.”

1 Peter says, “Those, through faith, are shielded by God’s power until the coming of salvation and is ready to be revealed in the last days.”

This Scripture may sound strange to us today.

But, Peter is speaking of salvation revealed to followers of Christ, who Jesus’ Blood has saved. This event will occur after a revelation from God to the Church during the last days of darkness, after the great Falling away.

Before moving on to the Book of Daniel, let’s look at the Falling Away of God’s Church.

We have already experienced this so-called Falling Away.

Most buildings of worship have become virtually empty most Sundays. As a result, people have become jaded and closed-minded about the things of God. However, it is not entirely the people’s fault.

Leadership within most congregations is thoroughly lacking, so the people have little or no examples of true leadership or trust in their leaders to do anything other than beg for money.

As a result, church leaders have become disappointments to those dependent on them to lead, for they have become like the World, placing God’s work second in their lives.

Daniel 12:8-10 says, “I have heard but understand not: then God tells him. “Go thy way, Daniel, for the word is closed and sealed till the time of the end.”

This Scripture is telling Daniel to go his way because, until the appointed time, neither anyone living in the future will understand the meaning until His (God’s) appointed time.

Therefore, even though Daniel desires to understand, God tells Daniel He will not reveal His purpose until the end.

Revelation 5: 1-2 proclaims the worth of the earth’s inhabitants to the unsealing of the Book, “I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice who is worthy to open the sealed book.”

The silence of heaven will reveal there is none worthy of opening the seal other than Jesus Christ, who is without sin or blemish. Therefore, only Jesus can understand the words of the Text written on the scroll or mysteries of God!

Before moving on, we must not forget the reasons for restoring God’s Church.

First, let’s define Restoration and why it is important to End Time Prophecy.

“Restoration is the action of returning something to a former owner, place, or condition.”

Restoration is important to prepare God’s Church for Jesus’ return Spiritually.

Jesus left resources for the Church to use before the Messiah’s return. Ephesians 4:11-14 describes these resources left for the Church to become spiritually repaired. Jesus expects the Church to be as when He left it to return to heaven.

Yet,

Today’s Church will have suffered the effects of Apostasy and be like the World, refusing to follow, obey or recognize any religious faith or biblical teachings.

God’s Church has become backslidden with little or no respect for the teachings of Christ.

As followers of Christ, we should read and research God’s Word to become familiar with upcoming events and what God’s Word teaches.

YOU Never leave your salvation to the teachings of others. There is no reason or excuse in the 21st Century not to understand the Bible.

This short prayer may help in understanding the Word of God:

Lord, grant me the ability to understand your Word.

Please help me to develop a hunger for your living Word.

In Jesus’ name.

Amen.
