What Election Day Should Mean to Christians

By Pat Ashley

God does not desire that we kill the unborn before they have had a chance to enter the world. We should not be responsible for shortening or taking a life. The unborn deserve to live the life God created them to live.

God’s word speaks to such murders.

To every Christian, Election Day should mean saving the lives of the unborn. Every child deserves to live because they are created by God.

Even the unborn, for everything God created is loved and important.

“When men strive together and hit a pregnant woman so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the One who hit her shall surely be fined, as the woman’s husband shall impose on him, and he shall pay as the judges determine. But if there is harm, then you shall pay life for life, eye for an eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe. ( Ex 21:22-25 ESV)

Every child created in the womb is already known by God before birth.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” ( Jer. 1:5, ESV)

When you vote this “Election Day”, vote for leaders that will protect the unborn who have no voice.

As Christians, we should elect leaders who love God’s word and try to live as scripture tells us to live if we belong to the Savior. We must not select the ungodly to office who live like the world. Though no human we vote for as a leader will be perfect, for only One is Perfect, without Sin or Stain, and that is and was the Savior and Son of God.

These scriptures from the Word of God is proof of Jesus’ sinless life.

2 Corinthians 5:21

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

(Hebrews 4:15)

Verse Concept:

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.

Luke 1:35

Verse Concepts

The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest God will overshadow you, and for that reason, the holy child shall be called the Son of God.

So, you see, Jesus is like you and me when He walked upon the earth. He was not perfect and suffered as we do, yet, He never Sinned!

America was founded upon Biblical principles. The Founder Fathers were not perfect, but you must admit they created a great nation under God, though we have our issues with the government, the world, and with each other. We are a nation founded on freedom.

Here’s something some of you may not be aware of,

“While Europeans owned and operated the slave ships, the work of kidnapping new victims was generally left to West Africans. Bands of slavers would roam the African countryside, preying on villagers who let their guard down.”

As Christians, we must seek the truth. In this case, the truth is that other blacks roamed the countryside attacking villages, seeking Africans to sell to the Europeans. So Blacks are not blameless in slavery.

Lincoln was a Republican, and he freed the slaves in America. However, freedom was not his original thought; this is the initial thought on the matter.

“Lincoln first thought was vocally public, advocating for colonization in 1852, and in 1854 said that his first instinct would be “to free all the slaves, and send them to Liberia” (the African state founded by the American Colonization Society in 1821).

So, we are blessed as African-Americans to be in America as we are today. We could have been in Liberia. Think about how different life could have been for you and your family. The Experience may have been better, or it may have been not so good. We will never know.

Why? Because our heavenly Father decided differently for us as Blacks in American. God choose this nation, one of the greatest on earth, to be our home. We do not have to agree with who our leaders are, but followers of Christ should respect authority, if for no reason other than, the word of God says we should.

“Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. … Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. ( Romans, 13: NIV).

As Americans, we have the luxury of choosing our Leaders and how long they will lead our government. But we should always vote for the man or woman, not Party.

I vote for who I believe is best for America, though he or she may not be affiliated with my political Party. As citizens of the Kingdom of God, we should pray before casting our votes. We should ask God to help us vote for the best man or woman or His choice to lead our country. God will never lead you wrong.

Why? Because God is already in the “FUTURE” and knows whom he has chosen to lead the people. Sometimes God sends great leader or evil leaders, but make no mistake about the choice; God has already decided who he wants on the throne of America! However, as citizens and Christians, we have been given the right to choose and should VOTE!

Vote your heart and not the Political Party. Vote your mind, not Fake News or someone elses’ opinion or hatred for the candidate. If you vote the Bible, you will not fail to vote for the right man or woman for our nation.

If your choice is not the majority vote, as Christians, we must and should accept God’s outcome and work with his preference for our nation. We may not understand God’s choices, but we should know He knows and does what is best for his children.

Make no mistake about the world we now live in, the nation is under Santantic Attack! It’s in our streets, schools, and government and everywhere we look! But do not let that concern you as a follower of Christ.

Why? Because we are living in End Times of prophetic fulfillment in a Time Of Apostasy. The Church is living and thinking like the world. Church leaders are teaching it’s okay to live in sin if it feels good to do it. Even clergy are engaging in same-sex marriages and otherworldly lifestyles, and their congregations accept them as if they are living as scripture ordains.

Let’s look at an even bigger picture of the times in which we live. Parents believe the sex of a child is not God’s choice but the child’s if they feel as if they were born the wrong sex. God never makes mistakes about whether we should be born male or female.

I have heard hatred spewed from so-called men and women of God. Such foul hatred that it has led me to reconsider where I now worship. No one wants to allow anyone to think outside the box if the opinion differs from their own.

Frankly, I have always had the inclination to think outside the box. Thus, the reason I left the south at an early age. Later, to return with the knowledge of who I am in Christ in this crazy world. I left hatred and angry behind. I reject racism towards any that are different and will not allow my family or anyone to change who I am. I learned to accept and respect others’ beliefs and opinions without feeling the need to change my own. After all, this is the land of the Free; it’s America!

So, let’s put on our big boy and girl thinking hats and get out to the polls and vote for whomever your heart leads you to cast that crucial vote.

Just Vote! Be it for Trump or Biden, you have the freedom of choice, so use it!

Get an excellent night’s rest, and don’t forget to pray for our nation; we can surely use every prayer!

Stand up and be counted, November 3,2020. Let your voice be heard!

If you are not sure how to vote due to the many news reports bombarding us each day. Then, here is a short prayer you can pray before making your choice for our nation’s leaders.

“Lord, help me to choose as you would. Help me forget about political parties and vote for whoever you have already selected for our great nation. Help me let the Holy Spirit lead me to make this most crucial decision in history. Open my eyes so they may see what my natural eyes may miss. Open my ears to hear the truth that I may have missed, in Jesus’ name. Amen
